Our team is here to support you and your loved one by working with a hospice agency or medical provider to meet the level of care required. We care for our clients by making them comfortable and helping around the house. Our professionally trained staff also provides the family with much needed emotional and moral support during this difficult time.
What Are Benefits Of End Of Life Care and Palliative Care Support?
There are many reasons to select in home end of life care over a hospital after receiving a terminal diagnosis. Staying at home, where everything is familiar, can be a great comfort to those with only a little time left. It is also easier for family and friends to gather at home than a hospital, as there are no visiting hours or other restrictions. Nursing homes carry some of the same restrictions and may not be appropriate for your senior loved one. Our clients receiving this care have more control over their lives than they would in a hospital or hospice facility. They can enjoy their daily activities without interruption from countless doctors and nurses throughout the day. Since an end of life diagnosis can be anywhere from days to months or years, it is vital you have the best level of in-home care and comfort available.

100-Year-Old Hospice Client Finds Renewed Quality of Life
When Evelyn was in the hospital and diagnosed with health failures, it was her choice to return home to the place she lived and loved.
Hospice had recommended Comfort Keepers for live-in support care.
The staff at Comfort Keepers wondered if the 100-year-old senior would accept Tony, one of our live-in caregivers. Owners Shannon and Gina Meller had a feeling Tony and Evelyn would be a great match, and when Evelyn agreed to give it a try they realized they were right!
When Evelyn first came home, she was not eating and life looked bleak. But with Tony’s help, Evelyn began to recover. Tony started by putting food out for himself. Evelyn would slowly eat off his plate as they talked about common interests or local news.
Before long, she was eating again, enjoying conversations and taking trips to church – a vital part of her life.
When asked how it feels to be 100 years old, Evelyn joked that she doesn’t recommend it. “The body is falling apart with lots of aches and everyone makes a big deal out of it,” she said. “You just have to take one day at a time.”
Evelyn liked both her male and female caregivers; they did all her housekeeping, made her meals and played bridge with her. She even did some sewing and knitting. She especially liked Tony taking her to church and she said he was a great companion to her.
Tony was nominated for the Milwaukee Aging Consortium’s Distinguished Caregiver Award. We are proud of Tony’s Dedication, and the dedication of all our caregivers who make a difference.
